This policy explains how Athlone Medical ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal data submitted through this website, athlonemedical.ie. It does not cover the clinical records created when you attend the clinic in person, those are held under separate, stricter clinical confidentiality obligations. Please do not send medical or health information through the contact form on this website, it is not a secure clinical channel, if you need to discuss a health matter, please call or visit the clinic directly.
Athlone Medical is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
When you use the contact form on this website, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, company or organisation, email address, phone number, and any message you write. We do not require you to create an account, and the clinic does not take online bookings or payments through this website.
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, and to keep a record of correspondence in case of follow-up. We do not use contact form submissions for marketing without your separate consent, and we do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
We keep contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and then delete them. Clinical records created during a visit to the clinic are retained separately, in line with Medical Council of Ireland guidance and Irish healthcare record-keeping requirements.
This website uses a small cookie to remember your cookie consent choice, so we don’t ask you again on every visit. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer. This website loads fonts (Google Fonts) and icons (Font Awesome) from third-party content delivery networks, and, where shown, an embedded Google Map, each of these may involve your browser making a request to that third party’s servers. We do not currently run analytics or advertising tracking on this website; if that changes, this policy and our cookie banner will be updated accordingly.
Contact form submissions are processed using our website form-handling provider (Netlify) in order to deliver your message to us. Where an embedded Google Map is shown, your browser communicates directly with Google, subject to Google’s own privacy policy. We do not otherwise share personal data submitted through this website with third parties, except where required by law.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability where applicable.
